The Fabulous Flowers!

I saw these bouquets on ETSY today and I had to include them in this feature! I will be the first to admit I LOVE FLOWERS in a wedding, BUT these bouquets, by reallybadkitty at ETSY, are wonderful. The prices are fantastic, and you will have them forever. Finally an everlasting bouquet that isn’t some less than desirable fake flowers.

The Fabulous Flowers!

Fabulous Flowers will be a feature for you to enjoy. I will include wedding flowers I have DONE in the past, wedding flowers I love FROM the past, and CURRENT floral ideas I love.
This week’s story includes lovely bouquets from the past. My favorite era from weddings past is hands down the Twenties. Opulence abounds! And for those of you that know me, the more the better… more is more!!! The bouquets from this era are gigantic, and to me so gorgeous. Think about it brides-there is one day in your life when you can have flowers like these (well that you will be alive to enjoy!). You must, as far as I am concerned, take advantage of it and have the most luxurious bouquet you can afford. Go for it!!! These are some examples. My favorite flowers for weddings are orchids and more orchids, gardenias…nothing smells more wonderful, and peonies. Keep in mind everyone remembers the fabulous flowers!

This time of year, as we huddle near the fireplace (in Wisconsin!)
it seems as though I can't remember the garden being so green!!!! Finding these photos today makes the spring ever so much closer. Only February, March (my anniversary of breaking my the garden) and April and I will be in the garden again. Can't wait to be in one of my favorite places...

Dresses From My Past.....

This 1960's Bridal Gown was a favorite from my shop! The typical 1960's cut- empire waistline, boat-neck, slight bell sleeve, detachable watteau train in white. Delicious Venetian lace accents make this a favorite dress from my past....

Very Tres Chic by Paula Stanton

My new store- verytreschic was featured in a favorites selection, they loved my romantic chantilly lace bridal gown.
One of the favorites that was featured along with my gown was this store's lovely bouquets!
Being a florist myself I can appreciate all the work in design and execusion. The store is called
Romanticflowers at ETSY. Really lovely!!!

What I Hope To Come....

In the coming days and weeks I will be trying to figure out how to create a wonderful blog for friends and business associates to enjoy my take on fashion, weddings, gardens, all the things I love. I have many wonderful experiences to share. I have thousands of photos of vintage fashions I hope to include. Many great ideas I've used for weddings I have been involved with, many florals I have done for brides in my past experiences as a florists.
The ideas are swirling! Being involved with selling vintage clothing for 30 years has been wonderful, I've seen so many treasures through my shop. I want to share all of that.

I have delightful things to share, but alas I am a computer idiot! So figuring out how to do it will be monumental! But I'm up for a challenge. its suppose to be be great for an ancient mind!!
